Originally from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Kathy greets everyone with her warm smile and friendly personality. Having been in an auto accident 20 years ago and being told she would not walk again, Kathy knows and appreciates the need for physical therapy. She understands how difficult it is to walk through that door in pain, but also knows how important it is for you to continue in order to live the life you deserve. Needless to say, she wishes she had the Synergy team behind her when she was in need of rehabilitation.
Kathy is the mother of two daughters and a pup, Gus, who showed up at Synergy’s front door in April of 2018. With his 10 lbs. of charm and love, how could she not fall in love and give him his fur-ever home?
Those who know Kathy know her grandson, Joaquin. Joaquin is a loveable, energetic 5-year old that keeps her on her toes. Most of her free time is spent with Joaquin doing fun events and helping him grow, learn and stand strong. Her grandson rocks an extra chromosome and she loves volunteering with the Down Syndrome Network of Arizona. She is one of the proud voices speaking for all individuals with Down Syndrome. From August to November, you will find Kathy busy organizing and fundraising for Synergy’s sponsored team, “Stand Strong Joaquin." The DS Network of AZ Buddy Walk is an annual fundraising event that takes place on the Saturday of ASU’s homecoming.
